Comfortable 4-WD Jeep
Wilpattu afternoon safari starts at 2 PM, therefore you will be picked up at 1.15 PM from your hotel in Wilpattu or any other location you with us prior to the safari tour.
Wilpattu park is open throughout the year, however February to October is the prime time. Wilpattu is located 30 kms north of Puttalam, approximately 190 kms from Colombo.
View the famous leopards, the deer, wild pigs, sloth bears, grey langurs, wild buffalo, leaf monkeys and a variety of birds at this amazing wild life national park.
After the jeep safari ride inside the Wilpattu park, return to hotel or original departure point around 6.30 pm.
Overview
- Wilpattu park houses Leopards, Elephants, Bears, Deer, Crocodiles, Reptiles and many varieties of birds including the Garganey, Pin tail, Whistling Teal, Spoonbill, White Ibis, Large White Egret, Cattle Egret and Purple Heron. There are Gulls, Terns, Owls, Kites and Eagles as well. Also watchout for Sri Lanka’s endemic Jungle fowl, Little Cormorant and the Painted Stork.
